Misunderstanding

It seems that many people have missed out on some of the magic of my partial creation there. Let me spell out a few terms.

"Ernie" Coombs is Mr. Dressup. "Fred" Rogers is Mr. Rogers.

In this story, I wanted to delve into a thought I had when I was a child. I always thought that those puppets were more real then imaginary, so I decided to craft a story that would explain them.

However, I always wanted to capture the darkness of youth, so I chose to tell how Casey and Finnegan left the shower, fatally. There is something about childhood that is lost to us these days. It seems that adults have become kids, and kids have become adults. I was brushing up on my French Theorists, in particular Virilio, only to discover he put my thought into words exactly. His theories of "Arrested Development" (a woefully awful show), made my head spin with delight. I have always found myself old then my age, and always found adults so dreadfully young in thought. So I told a story where the child takes the final leap ahead of the parent, entering the ground before the father, breaking the cycle of life.
